A chance meeting outside Lancre for Valdulech Kimori

an encounter when hunting near Lancre

You try to tan the fox pelt but only succeed in ruining it, so you throw away the stinking tattered remnants.

You bury the corpse of a Lancre reciprocating fox deep within the earth.

You have gained the small achievement So We Meet Again, in which you had a chance meeting or two. (15000 xp)

Tiny Fulgoris emerges from a thaumic door which appears in midair.

The road here is hard and bare. The ruts created by many passing carts are deep, and there are several trails of ageing footprints in the softer patches. The rotting stump of a tree obstructs part of the trackway. Stands of tall trees cover the ground to the north, east, northeast and southeast and the incredibly steep sides of Lancre Gorge loom to the west and southwest. Ten miles to the north is the Lancre river, two miles to the west is the Lancre river, five miles to the south is Lancre Town, twenty miles to the southeast sits the peak of Bear Mountain, fifty miles to the southeast are some of the long, wall-like peaks of Drumlin's Fell, ten miles to the east is the village of Creel Springs and seven miles to the northwest is the village of Mad Stoat.

It is a freezing cold spindlewinter's morning with a steady breeze and some puffy clouds.
There are two obvious exits: journey south and journey northwest.
Tiny Fulgoris is standing here.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: well hell

A bird lands on the stump, before hastily flying off.

Tiny Fulgoris bows to you.

You bow to Tiny Fulgoris.

You thank Tiny Fulgoris.

You see Tiny Fulgoris of the Sages of the Unknown Shadow, the Fifth Level Wizard.
He is an old dirty b*****d.
He In the peak of his physical form and walking with an easy grace, he swings his baton in a natural graceful arc. A salt and pepper goatee, long almost equiline nose and a piercing gaze from his blue eyes that seem to see into your soul.
He is in good shape.
He is standing.
He has a wooden Djelian shield floating around him.
Holding : Schwing (left hand).
Wearing : a grey fur-trimmed robe, a black backpack, a medium satchel, five gold rings, a stone medallion, a blackened canteen, a coiling gold viper earring, a Philosophers' Society pin and a mirrored timepiece.
Carrying: a lightable torch and an extra-bony fish.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: this obviously isn't Djellibeybi
Tiny Fulgoris sighs.

Tiny Fulgoris laughs.
You say in Morporkian: we are in the kingdom of lancre

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: I thought I had left home without my clothes again.

You smile at Tiny Fulgoris.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: I see, I missed by "that" much.

You nod.

A piece of rotten bark falls from the stump.

You say in Morporkian: I have never been to Djellibeybi

Tiny Fulgoris gets a gold ring from a pocket in a medium satchel.
Tiny Fulgoris starts to sketch a door in the air with his finger.
The lines Tiny Fulgoris sketched in the air start to glow a red colour.

A strange green smell escapes from the forming door and slowly wisps its way around the room.
You wave to Tiny Fulgoris.

You could have sworn that your wooden banana just smiled at you.
The door slowly starts to materialise.

Tiny Fulgoris dances and capers madly around the door, throwing bizarre coloured bits of power into it and chanting strange and obscure lyrics.

A dirty piece of fur solidifies with a satisfying thump.

Tiny Fulgoris' extra-bony fish squirms.
The dirty piece of fur wobbles alarmingly.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: I meant to say Djelibeybi.

Tiny Fulgoris asks in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: you haven't?

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: there is alot to see...and smell.
Tiny Fulgoris puts the gold ring in a pocket in the medium satchel.
The dirty piece of fur wobbles alarmingly.

I looked worried

The dirty piece of fur falls!
The portal disappears with a small clap of thunder.
Tiny Fulgoris sighs.
The morning sun disappears behind a cloud.

You nod.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: I've been forced to learn all of my skills again.

A bird lands on the stump, before hastily flying off.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: It's almost insufferable.
You say in Morporkian: i heared its dry there

You nod.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: never rains.
Tiny Fulgoris gets a gold ring from a pocket in a medium satchel.

You say in Morporkian: its hard when you have to learn somthing you once knew

Tiny Fulgoris starts to sketch a door in the air with his finger.
The lines Tiny Fulgoris sketched in the air start to glow a red colour.
A strange green smell escapes from the forming door and slowly wisps its way around the room.
wave Fulgoris

You wave to Tiny Fulgoris.

The door slowly starts to materialise.

Tiny Fulgoris dances and capers madly around the door, throwing bizarre coloured bits of power into it and chanting strange and obscure lyrics.

A mysterious wire mesh door solidifies with a satisfying thump.

This is a thin door made of a wire mesh. It seems to be a portal to another place, defying the laws of Behind and In Front. It is closed.
> Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: quite
Tiny Fulgoris puts the gold ring in a pocket in the medium satchel.
Tiny Fulgoris opens the mysterious wire mesh door.
wave madly Fulgoris
You wave madly to Tiny Fulgoris.

Tiny Fulgoris acks.

Tiny Fulgoris gives the mysterious wire mesh door a good shove.

You look through the mysterious wire mesh door:
In the heart of the Red Triangle maze, alleys lead in all directions, and you are unsure which way to turn. Six alleys meet here, or possibly, depending on your point of view leave from here. Either way, there are a lot of possible exits.
It is a freezing cold spindlewinter's morning with a steady breeze and some puffy clouds.
There are six obvious exits: north, east, northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest.
> The mysterious wire mesh door wobbles alarmingly.
The mysterious wire mesh door wobbles alarmingly.
Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: Medina
Tiny Fulgoris sighs.
The mysterious wire mesh door wobbles alarmingly.
The mysterious wire mesh door falls!
The portal disappears with a small clap of thunder.
A piece of rotten bark falls from the stump.
say I don't even know where that is!
You exclaim in Morporkian: I don't even know where that is!

You grin.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: you don't want to know.
You say in Morporkian: is it dangerous

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: extremely so.

You nod.

The door slowly starts to materialise.
Tiny Fulgoris dances and capers madly around the door, throwing bizarre coloured bits of power into it and chanting strange and obscure lyrics.
A dirty piece of fur solidifies with a satisfying thump.
Tiny Fulgoris opens the dirty piece of fur.

This is a large dirty piece of fur just hanging in the air. It seems to be a portal to another place, defying the laws of Behind and In Front. It is open.
Tiny Fulgoris puts the gold ring in a pocket in the medium satchel.

You look through the dirty piece of fur:
The street is beginning to get busy here, or quieting down, depending upon your perspective. Small groups of people bustle either on their way to the bazaar or back with arm loads of shopping. The street is also a little aromatic here thanks to the camel fields directly to the south. This is the ideal location for camel herders, being so close to the bazaar and the Tsort Road and so they utilise every bit of land which hasn't been built upon. A gate to the south leads into the fields and then the road continues east towards the junction with Deity Lane and winds west toward the Tsort Road. Someone's house is to the west. A small passage leads to the north.
It is a very warm Seedtime's morning with gusty winds and a beautifully clear sky.
There are three obvious exits: east, west and southwest.
A wooden bucket is by the gate into the field.

A bird lands on the stump, before hastily flying off.

You nod.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: aha, thats the trick, try for a different city and get my original destination.

You could have sworn that your wooden banana blew you a kiss.

You wave to Tiny Fulgoris.

Tiny Fulgoris says in Morporkian with a Morporkian accent: nice to meet you.
Tiny Fulgoris gives the dirty piece of fur a good shove.
Tiny Fulgoris moves through the dirty piece of fur.
The dirty piece of fur wobbles alarmingly.
The dirty piece of fur wobbles alarmingly.
The morning sun peeks out from behind a cloud.
The dirty piece of fur wobbles alarmingly.
The dirty piece of fur falls!

Later that day I was shopping in Lancre and bought a nice peace of Cake.

You bite eagerly into the Carrot Surprise Cake and savour the unusual sweet and crunchy texture.

This cake is an experiment in exotic fare. The rich, dark exterior has been baked to perfection, concealing the "surprise" inclusion of raw, baby carrots. Each mouthful provides a taste sensation quite unlike any before in the history of baking.
It has just been nibbled on.
It looks nice and fresh.

And invited Carasel, the daughter of my Lord to come to lancre to try this lovely cake.
We have been friends since I came to Ankh-Morpork, despite my poor Morporkian she helped me to comunicate with the other Kimori. With this cake we established the eternal bond of our friendship as best friends.
